9/12/10 5:53 PM.  Luanda - The chairman of Caimaneros Association (former students in Cuba), Alberto Jerónimo, said that the people's solidarity toward Cuba is one of the key ways to put an end to the sanctions imposed by the United States, against the Caribbean island nation.

Alberto Jerónimo was speaking Sunday to Angop, on the fringes of the 3rd African Meeting of Solidarity toward Cuba running in Luanda, during which he defended that the mobilising programmes for release of the prisoners and against economic and social embargo should be a world concerned.

It is necessary to develop programmes that raise the youths’ interest, promoting marches of solidarity, singings addressed to the government of president Barack Obama and other kinds of condemnations.

The two-day meeting included addresses by the representations of delegations from Angola, Namibia, Sahara Arab Republic, Zimbabwe and Republic of Congo.

The conference discussed situation of the five Cubans jailed by US authorities, the embargo imposed on Cuba and the solidarity of the Caribbean country to other peoples.
