The President of the Cuban Book Institute, Zuleica Romay, and the deputy head of the Russian Federal Agency for Press and Mass Media (ROSPECHAT), Vladimir Grirgoriev, sign today a memorandum of cooperation in this capital.

The cooperation document will help to develop and implement joint publishing projects.

Among other things, the MoU refers to the stimulus for establishing direct links between publishing houses, book trading entities and polygraph agencies of Cuba and Russia.

The parties also agree to cooperate in exhibitions of print productions published in the states of the parties and encourage reciprocal participation in international book fairs.

Cuban vice minister of Culture Fernando Rojas was also present at the signing ceremony. Both held yesterday a meeting with the editorial direction Maladaya Gvardia (Young Guard), as part of activities related to the book forum in Moscow.
