Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez administered the oath to the last group of socialist activists that will take part in the campaign for parliamentary elections, and called for unity and victory at the polls.

In Barinas state the President stated that the continuity of the process of change known as the Bolivarian Revolution could be assured with victory in legislative elections next September 26.

"We will not give respite to the opposition", Chavez said after calling the members of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) to intensify efforts in the elections in which he expects to beat the enemies of the social project that began in 1999.

He said that the deployment of more than one million militants by the communities to publicize the organization's proposals for the forthcoming legislative session is decisive to gain success.

"The bourgeoisie wonâ?Öt rule again in Venezuela", Chavez said in an ceremony during which the the so-called "red machine" was declared ready to campaign for the elections for the next legislature, where all 165 National Assembly seats are being contested.

The structure of the pre-election campaign includes 12,000 battle units (one for each electoral center) and about 36,500 patrols, the same as the number of polling stations.

The final period of the campaign will concentrate on direct contact with the people through face to face dialogues, demonstrations and caravans, among other initiatives.
