HAVANA, CUBA.- The Spanish television network Television Española (TVE) will present its documentary “Indispensable: Alicia Alonso” during the inaugural gala of the 20th International Ballet Festival of Havana in October.

 Prensa Latina news agency reports that TVE is putting the finishing touches to this documentary that includes testimonies by Cuban and European renowned personalities on the director of the Cuban National Ballet, prima ballerina assoluta Alicia Alonso.

 The material will pay tribute to Alicia’s everlasting legacy and as a co-founder —along with Fernando and Alberto Alonso— of the Cuban National Ballet and a school of Cuban ballet that critics regard as one of the best in the world.

 TVE is the oldest Spanish television netwerok. It was founded on October 28, 1956, and it belongs to the Spanish Radio and Television Corporation.
