MANAGUA, July 26.Different countries around the world celebrated Cuba's National Rebelliousness Day.

Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega paid tribute on Monday, July 26 which marks the 57th anniversary of the attacks to the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes barracks led by Fidel Castro in 1953 to overthrow the Batista dictatorship.

In a letter addressed to Fidel and Raul Castro, the leader of the Sandinista revolution described these deeds as a victorious example for Latin American and Caribbean nations, and said that Cuba continues to be in the vanguard of socialist ideals.

Ortega also added that amid the complex and threatening situation unleashed by the forces of the (US) Empire, amid the threats and warnings their imperial cravings spread the world over, the voice of Cuba continues to rise and is louder than ever.

In Paraguay, Oscar Herreros told Prensa Latina news agency that the National Organization of Solidarity with Cuba in the Alto Parana department had organized different activities in salute to the 26th of July, which included interviews in local radio stations and a panel discussion on the historic deed.

The Secretary General of the Spanish Communist Party, Jose Luis Centella, sent a message to the Cuban people and leaders Fidel and Raul Castro, in which he said that the Spanish communists were happy to share with their Cuban comrades the dreams of building a new society, based on the principles of social justice and solidarity that unite all the peoples, parties and all those who struggle for freedom.

The Spanish communist also noted that the defense of the Cuban revolution was not only a responsibility of the Cubans, but all those who in the world struggle for the development of socialism and communism.

In addition, the Spanish communists demanded justice for the five Cuban men who for over twelve years have been imprisoned in the United States known as the Cuban Five and announced that they are organizing a national campaign to collect signatures for the liberation of Gerardo Hernandez, Fernando Gonzalez, Antonio Guerrero, Ramón Labanino and René Gonzalez.

In Shanghai, the 2010 World Exhibition was dedicated to Cuba on July 26. The main ceremony took place at the East Square at the Exhibition Center and was presided over by the deputy commissioner of the Chinese government, Zhao Zhenyu and the Cuban
Minister for Foreign Trade and Investment Aurelio Mollineda, according to a report of the Cuban Embassy in the People's Republic of China.

In the afternoon, the Cuban pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai Exhibition was venue to an official reception which was attended by Chinese members of the exhibition organizing committee, businesspeople, intellectuals and personalities, members of the Cuban consulate in that city, and representatives from other countries.
