Cuba has scored another victory, the 5th in the Haarlem Baseball Week when it beat the US 4-3 on Friday.

Cuban baseball team manager German Mesa changed the teams line-up this time, and though the team did not produce too many runs, they were enough to win.

Cuban right fielder Alexei Bell went to the 4th hitters turn in the line-up, but the real big man at the home plate was again third baseman Donald Duarte, a man who has proved he is ready for bigger endeavours, as shown in the tournament.

Duarte batted two hits, one of them a double, to raise his batting average to .481; first baseman Yunier Mendoza (BA .409) also hit two singles, and second baseman Danel Castro (BA .409) got three walks.

The team USA had its best man in third baseman Raphe Rhymes (2 for 3), batting in his team's three.

Cuba will play its next match against Holland this Sunday, and seek to take its revenge, since Holland knocked them out 10-0 in the first round and is undefeated in five games.

Holland will close the program against Cuba on Sunday.
