Arte en la Rampa: Family space of encounter

The eleventh celebration of the Fair Arte en la Rampa, in Cuba Pavilion of Vedado, is presented during July and August as one of the proposals with high aesthetic value with the best of our cultural manifestations.
Each day will also be featured by a parallel program that includes concerts, books presentations, encounters with personalities of the culture, among other attractive options.
The fair will be open until September 5; Arte en al Rampa, the largest of those organized in the Island. The diversity, good taste, and ample presence of craftsmanship return to characterize this yearly meeting, of great acceptance.
The proposals of the Cuban record houses are also outstanding. Likewise, the book, and literature will be present in the fair with different editorial houses. It’s also praiseworthy the variety of stationery articles and school accessories.
Within the artistic program of the Fair for weekends it’s announced, starting at 10:30 a.m., as usual, shows for children, with magicians, clowns, choirs, children dances and popular characters of infantile television programs.
From 6 to 8 p.m., on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays there will be concerts with famous figures of the Cuban music, and the Thursdays afternoons will be entirely for jazz. On each Saturday at 4:00 p.m. there will be fashion parades with designs of textile artisans.
Every Thursday, at 2:00 p.m. there’ll be a rendezvous between the journalist and directress of Havana Radio, Magda Resik, with famous personalities of the Cuban culture. On July 15 the guest artist will be Reynaldo Gonzalez, National Prize for Literature.
On the other hand, Genesis Gallery proposes for Fridays, at 4:00 p.m., portfolios with reproductions, as well as mounted reproductions, of important Cuban artists of the plastic arts who will attend those presentations to sign and sale the pieces. On July 16 Zayda del Rio will be present with their serigraphy works.
Institutions like the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets, ARTEX, Casa de las Americas, Union Editorial House, the Provincial Center of the Book and the Literature and the Company of Recordings and Musical Editions (EGREM), besides the Hermanos Saiz Association and the Office of Marti Program, among others, participate in the fair.
Another of the appealing features of this Fair are the workshops which are organized by Casa de las Americas.
This July 14 the topic will be the illustration with the plastic arts artist Rene de la Nuez; on July 21 the director and puppeteer Armando Morales will teach how to make marionettes; and on August 4 closing the cycle it’s proposed How to make a poster?, led by designer Nelson Ponce.
The appointment will be always, every Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., in the Meeting Room of the Pavilion Cuba.
The fair opens from Tuesday through Friday, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., while on Saturdays and Sundays the schedule changes from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the evening.
The Art Fair returns like every summer in La Rampa a new bet for diversity and the quality of our cultural productions.
