HAVANA, Cuba, July (acn) Cesar Pedroso, director of the group "Pupy y Los que Son, Son", offered details on Friday about his recent one-month tour of the United States. Pupy, as he’s popularly known, said he was satisfied with the results of the group’s presentations and with the opinion of the US press about its work.

The New York Times was among the publications praising the band’s concerts, as well as the capacity of its singers to improvise on stage.

To be able to offer these concerts and to be part of cultural exchanges between the two countries was a very special opportunity for us, expressed the salsa performer.

San Francisco, Tampa, Miami and Los Angeles were some of the cities where the group made US Cuban music lovers dance.

The musicians carried out their first Latin dance music show at Boston’s Wilbur Theater, and represented the Caribbean island for the first time at the New York Central Park.

International figures like Max Allende, (Ruben Blades’ percussionist), and Sony Bravo (late Tito Puente’s pianist), were among guests in the group’s presentations.

During the summer, the group will play at some of the capitals dance halls.
