Cuban singer to perform in NY festival

Singer Carlos Varela will represent Cuba at the 14th Chase Latino Cultural Festival in Queens, N.Y., July 29 to Aug. 8.
Varela is scheduled to perform on Aug. 6. The singer toured other U.S. cities in April and May.
It will be the first time in eight years that a Cuban performer appears at the festival in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, which includes music, dance, comedy, spoken word, film, and family-friendly events.For a schedule of shows
