Cuban Erick Hernandez set his second World record so far this year in ball control when he hit a Jabulani for 3:04:14 ours from the sitting position using only his feet.

“Despite the critics made to this new ball in the South Africa World Cup, the fact is that it helped me a lot in this attempt, since it bounces better and I could keep it controlled longer since it is lighter” Erick told ACN news at the Copacabana Hotel in Havana.

The athlete said he was happy since all the effort he had made in the previous training was rewarded with this record and added he will not try another record this year, but will focus on making exhibitions to celebrate the first world cup in Africa.

Erick declared his and his team´s predilection for the Brazilian team; therefore he announced he will make an exhibition when that team plays again.

The Cuban is the world record holder in several ball control specialities: more hits in a minute (350), 100 meters (17.83 seconds), marathon (7.17 hours) and longer time hitting the ball using all his body (19.00 hours)
