LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB Fox 41) -- An AutoZone employee stole money from that business and planned to flee to Cuba where he could marry his bride, according to police reports.

24-year-old Ernesto M. Carralero Jr. worked at the AutoZone in the 3900 block of Dixie Highway. He was arrested Thursday afternoon.

Police say his father and sister had been getting used auto parts from a junk yard and bringing them in to AutoZone for refunds, claiming that they had purchased the parts from AutoZone.

They would always bring the used parts in when he was working, and he would pocket the money he refunded to them when he got home.

Police reports say he planned to leave the United States and return to Cuba to be married on May 19.

"He has already paid for these arrangements and should be considered a flight risk," the police report states.

Carralero is charged with theft and forgery.
