After three years absent from French stages, the Cuban National Ballet (CNB) returns to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Prima Ballerina Assoluta Alicia Alonso in big style.

The news was confirmed by officials of Enghien-les-Bains, one of the cultural centers in Paris outskirts, where the prestigious company Alonso still leads will perform sponsored by the Centre des Arts (CDA).

The CNB will make its debut in the Centre des Arts of Enghien-les-Bains on April 23 and in the following day at the Theatre du Casino in the City of Lights, where it will delight the audience with the Classical Ballet "Giselle".

"We have the honor of receiving one of the most outstanding dancer, director and choreographer of the 20th Century who is also a living legend", the organizing committee highlighted in referrence to Alonso.

The CNB have already delighted the French public in 2007 with Giselle and Don Quixote during the "Danza de Verano" (Summer Dance) Festival that takes place every year in the Grand Palais in Paris.

The Enghien-les-Bains's CDA is making an advertising campaign with photos of the CNB previous presentations of Giselle and also is publishing Alicia Alonso's biography.
