The Second International Congress on Neurorehabilitation "NEUROREHABANA 2010" started this Wednesday in Havana, with the attendance of renowned scientists from Cuba, Spain, the United States, Great Britain and Panama.

  Issues as neuro-interventionism, psychosocial aspects to brain damage, and the presentation of the Cuban program on human brain mapping, are part of the first session of the event, taking place at the Havana's Conference Center.

Of particular interest is the Second International Workshop on Equestrian Rehabilitation, at "La Pradera" International Rehabilitation Center, where Cuba will present success of this kind of therapy, as well as the project to rehabilitate children with brain disability, deaf-blindness, autism, and other mental and physical disability.

Parallel to the congress is a display, where the country will present programs, systems, equipment, accessories and other material goods from the Physical Medicine in the Medical Rehabilitation process, as electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, mecanotherapy, among others.

Software and information technologies associated to bioengineering, biofeedback, virtual reality, and the reality increased in the psycho-neuro-physiological re-education of the position, equilibrium, coordination, and cognitive re-education will be also available during the forum.

NEUROREHABANA will close curtains on March 12.
