Grenada Prime Minister Tillman Thomas termed on Thursday a success his five-day visit to Cuba, following an invitation by the island's President Raul Castro.

"My visit has been very fruitful. We are interested in strengthening mutual cooperation with Cuba and the rest of regional countries," Thomas said at the Havana International Airport.

Referring to his meeting with President Raul Castro, the visitor stated that they analyzed several issues of interest for Cuba and Grenada, among them, the world economic crisis and climate change, "a scourge that threats us and my country can
reduce its territory and affect tourism."

Thomas' agenda, started on Sunday, included a meeting with Raul Castro, a wreath to Cuban National Hero Jose Marti, and visits to sites of interest.

The Grenadian leader visited this country for a first time in 2008, during the Cuba-CARICOM Summit, held in Santiago de Cuba.
