Canadian cyclist Guillaume Boivin won stage 11 of Cycling Tour to Cuba which covered 125 km between Matanzas city to San Antonio de los Banos.

Boivin from Spidertech team covered the distance with a time of 2 hours, 47 minutes and 17 seconds. He got ahead his country fellowman Martin Gilbert and Cuban Yans Carlos Arias.

In spite of the Canadian victory Cuban Arnold Alcolea leads the competition with a time of 37:42:28 followed by Venezuelan Jose Alarcon and Cuban Yenier Lopez.

The sprinter is led by Cuban Yoel Marino from Matanzas. Intermediate sprint is led by Arias and Cuba is the leader country.

Venezuelan Alarcon leads mountain and u-23 competitions.

Tomorrow will take place stage 12 of the tournament covering 143 km from Guanajay to Pinar del Rio.
