More than 2,500 delegates from 67 countries attending the 7th International Conference on Higher Education, called University 2010, winds up Friday five days of debates and meetings on improving the teaching and learning processes in higher education.

Nearly 12 ministers and more than 200 deans have been attending sessions held at the Havana's Conference Center. The objective is to increase links between higher education centers and collaborate to solve global problems.

Participants will analyze today pedagogical and didactic strategies to learn, due to the avalanche of existing information, an element several people term insufficient to solve international problems.

They will also debate about experience of university programs with older people.Cuban executives and scientists analyzed on Thursday links existing between universities and biotechnological research centers in the creation of medicine.

The influence of higher education centers to solve climate change problems, especially after the failure of the Copenhagen Summit held in December, was also debated by the delegates.
