“We believe that the US blockade against Cuba is an anachronistic policy and should be condemned by all the peoples from the world”, expressed Arístides Raimundo Lima, President of the National Assembly from Cape Verde during his conversation on Friday with the Vice-president of the Cuban Council of Ministers, Ricardo Cabrisas.
During the meeting, held at Havana’s Revolution Palace, the two personalities coincided in the need of consolidating common relations, on the basis of solidarity, negotiations, and mutual respect.
In another moment of the talks, the distinguished visitor thanked the Cuban government for the work of doctors from the island in Cape Verde and for the over 500 youngsters from his country who have studied medicine in Cuba.
“The people of Cape Verde always remember the support given by Cuba to the cause of our independence”, added Lima.
