Cuba prepares to open its doors to thousands of educators and personalities next Monday during the 7th University 2010 conference.

  The nation recognized for its development in all its educational system and quality of higher instruction, summoned the meeting that will have the participation of about 3,000 delegates, 2,000 from about 60 countries.

Among the confirmed participants are 20 ministers, 215 university deans from around the world as well as 45 presidents of Dean Associations of Higher Education and representatives of international institutions.

It will also have 2,123 presentations that include 1,563 from abroad for debate during the congress that will extend from the 8th to 12th of February.

With the slogan "University for a better world" a series of panels and commissions will be in charge of discussing a broad agenda of subjects that include those related to universalization of higher education.

Other subjects refer to national strategies of promotion of Higher Education, UNESCO, and education work in Latin America and the Caribbean and university cooperation are among the challenges of the world economic situation.

Also, special conferences will be offered and other collateral activities within the framework of the congress.

One is a meeting of professionals graduated in Cuba who will exchange experiences with older alumni.
