On behalf of the Cuban government and people, President Raul Castro offered his sincere condolences to his Haitian counterpart René Preval, for the earthquake that recently hit that country.
    
Raul told the Haitian leader that he can count on the unselfish help of the Cuban people in such difficult moments.

In the message, read on the Cuban TV national news program, the Cuban president expressed the deep sorrow and consternation caused by the earthquake that devastated the brother country of Haiti on Tuesday.
