A flag demanding the release of five Cuban anti-terrorist fighters unfairly imprisoned in the US for trying to thwart terrorist actions is flying in the top of Mount Aconcagua, as a solidarity gesture of three Argentinean youth.

Santiago Vega, a radio and television host, Aldo Bonavitta, a bank clerk, and Alcides Bonavitta, a social activist, all of them from the province of Neuquen, reached on Sunday the so-called Roof of the America, located at 22,831 feet above sea level.

After concluding successfully their heroic feat, the three climbers arrived in Sunday to the Penitent Camp, first stop of the descent, according to Neuquen reporter Javier Fernandez, who also said that Alejandro Miranda, from the Andean region of Mendoza, was in contact with the intrepid climbers.

The flag has the logotype created by Gerardo Hernandez, one of the Cuban Five.

The aim is to join to the world call for the freedom of Gerardo Hernandez, Antonio Guerrero, Rene Gonzalez, Ramon Labañino and Fernando Gonzalez, and spread what conspiratorial press keeps quiet.

The expedition expects to return on January 18 to the city of Neuquen, over 683 miles southeast of this capital, after challenging extreme temperatures and the danger of an ascent of this kind.
