Alicia Juarrero, a Professor of Prince George''s Community College in Maryland, the United States, extolled on Friday Cuba's development in the realm of complex thinking, a science comprising natural sciences, exact sciences and culture.

Juarrero, who is famous for her vast career in the specialty, is attending the 5th International Biennial Congress on Philosophical Epistemological and Methodological Implications of the Complexity Theory, concluded Friday at the Havana Convention Centre.

According to Cuban News Agency, the US expert recognized that the Island stands out in this regard in Latin America, thanks to the capacity of Cuban researchers to comprehend the ideas related to this science and their ability to spread them to the rest of the world.

She noted that Cuba has very good professionals, scientists and humanists studying the complexity issue, a new contemporary ideological formulation.

More than 200 delegates are taking part in this gathering which, in opinion of Head of Department of Research on Complexity of the Institute of Philosophy Antonio Correa, has grown in quality and quantity since it was first held in 2002.
