Cuba remembered Louis Braille, the outstanding French blind teacher who invented the reading-writing system for blind people and was born 201 years ago, whose system is used by millions of blind people in the world.

The method is formed by six points in relief, from which combination you can obtain 63 figures to represent letters, numbers and orthography and mathematics signs.

The year 2009 was dedicated to Louis Braille by the UNESCO and different activities were celebrated in his honour, the first of them in Paris, capital of France, with representatives of all the countries in the world, and his home -now a museum- in
the village of Coupvray was visited.
