Cuba readies to host the Cerro Pelado and Granma Free and Greco-Roman international wrestling events, with ten countries confirmed so far, including powers like Turkey, France and the US.

Havana's Sports City Centre will host both events in February and Cuba will be represented by Maykel Perez and Maykel Anache (60 kg), Geandry Garzon and Pedro Isaac (66) and Ivan Fundora (74).

The male team includes Pablo Chorey and Reineri Salas (84), Yasmani Lugo (96) and Elier Romero and Mijain Lopez (120). The latter is still recovering from a successful elbow surgery.

National Wrestling Commissioner Eduardo Perez said Cuba will also be joined by Italy, Brazil, Germany, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, the Dominican Republic, Chile, Portugal, Venezuela and Guatemala, among other countries.
