According to statements of Dr. Maria Elena Rodriguez Silverio, Head of the Child Maternal and Health Program in the territory, these results agree with the diagnose and monitoring work being made to pregnant women and the introduction of advanced technologies in the Provincial Centre of Medical Genetics.
Today the eight municipalities of the Sancti Spiritus province count with laboratory services know as Ultra Micro Analytical System (SUMA), advanced equipment that has strengthened the finding out of babies’ malformations in pregnant women.
