The solidarity brigade Southern Cross, whose members come from Australia and New Zealand, arrived in Cuba where it will celebrate the advent of the 51st Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution.

The Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) says they will visit places of social and historic interest like the monument to student leader Julio Antonio Mella where they will laid a wreath upon their arrival.

During their stay through January 20, the group of Australians and New Zealanders will do voluntary agricultural work and hold talks with members of youth, political and mass organizations.

They will also attend a conference on the challenges and potentials of the Cuban economy and meet with the relatives of the five Cuban antiterrorists jailed in the US since 1998.
