Writer Rafael A. Inza won First Prize at the 14th National Mangle Rojo (red mangrove), sponsored by the Association Hermanos Saiz (AHS) in the Isle of Youth, with the story “Easy life.”.

The contest is also sponsored by the Municipal Direction of Culture, the Centre for the Book and Literature and a subsidiary of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC).

Moreover, Inza (Havana, 1978) recently achieved the Vertex third price of short stories, hosted by the AHS and the weekly La Demajagua, local newspaper in the eastern province of Granma, with the work El diablo en el cuerpo (The Devil in the body).

The author reached the Vertex award in 2006 with Querido Diario (Dear Diary), in 2004 Versiculo perdido del Genesis (Lost Verse of Genesis) and he was a Finalist in previous editions of the national competition.

The young narrator also won the Celestino Prize of short stories, with the book Top fiction (Ediciones La Luz, 2008), has been a finalist in the international competition of short stories El Dinosaurio "The Dinosaur" and received the Award of Venga la Esperanza (May Hope Come) 2007, which is awarded by AHS.
