The country's oldest recording company EGREM has released this year the album "Cuba en vivo," with the most famous performances in the last several decades.

That company's music director Elsida Gonzalez stated that the main source for this album is the wonderful unpublished music that the company has had for over 50 years, even when it was not EGREM yet.

The album will include seven CDs, with songs by important singers, as Merceditas Valdes in her excellent live performance at the National Fine Arts Museum over 30 years ago.

Other live performances on the record are those by Los Compadres Duet and a concert by troubadour Carlos Puebla, known as the singer of the Cuban Revolution.

Gems of Cuban and Latin American music like Bola de Nieve, the Jorrin and Irakere groups, the latter founded and directed by Jesus "Chucho" Valdes, and the Modern Music Orchestra, are also included in the album.
