Volleyball: Cuba Defeats Iran at FIVB Men's World Grand Champions Cup

The Iranian team are due to come home with just one victory over the African Champions, Egypt, and four defeats against Brazil, Japan, Poland and Cuba.
The Iranian team, coached by Hossein Maddani, lost their fourth game of the event against Poland 1-3 on Sunday morning.
National teams from Brazil, Poland, Egypt, Cuba, Japan and Iran were present in the seven-day event.
The World Grand Champions Cup is an international volleyball tournament which was created in 1993.

1. Brazil
2. Cuba
3. Japan
4. Poland
5. Iran
6. Egypt
Men's teams from Iran have enjoyed recent successes at the youth and junior levels, claiming the gold and silver medals in
the last two Youth World Championships in Mexico (2007) and Italy (2009), along with a bronze in the FIVB Junior World
Championship of 2007 in Morocco.
