An exhibiton of the Cuban art is underway in Wisconsin. It is about an exhibition of 25 pieces made by the Cuban artists Orestes Larios Zaak and Gregorio Perez, is exhibited until next 24 of November in Madison, capital city of the US state of Wisconsin.

The exhibition, made by these creators from the Cuban province of Camaguey, is held at the D´Ricci gallery, and includes oil paintings and wood sculptures about ecological topics.

Both artists will give conferences about contemporary Cuban art, as well as about their personal experiences and will have meetings with students from different Wisconsin cities.

The exhibition is held in honor to the XV anniversary of the twinning of the cities of Madison and Camaguey, indicates the digital site of Radio Rebelde.

Larios Zaak is a recognized painter who directs a gallery – workshop in the historic center of the above mentioned Cuban city and has over 19 years dedicated to artistic teaching.

Recently he received recognition for his more that 35 years linked with the plastic arts, 19 of them, dedicated to artistic teaching in Camaguey schools, as well as having received several awards in Cuban and international events and exhibitions.

The sculptor Gregorio Perez is member of the Cuban Association of Craft Artists and is linked to the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets, with a work awarded in different national and international events.

This exhibition and the rest of the activities dedicated to the new anniversary of the twinning of the cities, are sponsored by the Hispanic Center, and the University and the Town Hall of the Wisconsin city, among many other organizations.
