“Cuba: Art and History”, is composed of almost 200 works by 100 artists, in a panorama of 140 years of Cuban art, and includes oil paintings, posters, engravings, sculptures, and works of video art and facilities, Cubahora web site reports.

Cuba’s Museum of Fine Arts continues this summer its presentation in Spain and Holland of three large exhibitions made up by pieces from its collection. “Cuba: Art and History. From 1868 to Present Time” is the exhibition being presented at
the Museum of Art of the city of Groninger, in Holland, which was on display in 2008 at the Museum of Fine Arts in Montreal, Canada.
Exhibited at the Iberian cities of Cordoba and Galicia are “Sorolla and his Contemporaries” and “The Artal Painters -Spanish Painting from the Museum of Havana”, respectively.
The latter collection, presented in Galicia, is made up by 154 works that have never been exhibited outside Cuba. The pieces were done by Catalonian artists promoted in America by Spanish banker José Artal, between 1897 and 1913.(acn)
