On this occasion, representatives from eight Cuban provinces and prominent musicians like Jesús Ortega (accompanied by Sonatas Habaneras) and concert guitarist Jorge Luis Garcel performed at the festival.

As part of the program, concerts were held at institutions in all eight municipalities of Las Tunas, including hospitals and schools.

The repertoire included music by Cuban and foreign composers.
Since 1970, guitar is taught in art schools in Las Tunas.
