Their musical productions stand out among over one hundred titles in 43 categories in the most prestigious contest of the country's phonographic industry, with Van Van setting a five-prize record, all of them under the EGREM label.
The Prize-awarding ceremony was held at the Havana-based Karl Marx Theater in a show featuring the cream of Cuban artists and guests from Puerto Rico, the country to which the Cubadisco festival was dedicated this year.
