6th International Shoulder and Knee Arthroscopy Symposium in Ciego de Avila Cuba
The attendance to the conclave has already been confirmed by the doctors Peter Buess, from Lucerna, Switzerland; Byron Chamberlain (Michigan, United States), Robert Maywood (California, United States), Michael Zahn (New York, United States), Edward Buess (Berne, Switzerland), Bruno Toussaint (Annecy, France), Christian Wurnig (Vienna, Austria) and Anthony Romero (California, United States).

Another group of Cuban specialists will take part in the symposium and perform demonstrative minimum access surgical operations.  They will also give lectures and prove valid a surgical technique of certain technological complexity, but of indisputable advantages.

Raunel Hernández, a second degree Avilanian specialist in orthopaedics and trauma studies, expressed that the organizers are engaged in fixing the details of the event, which is sponsored by the Shouldercare Institute, of Berne, Switzerland, the Operation Arthroscopy Initiative and the local hosts.

Injured Shoulder and knee articulations may limit the mobility of people and are extremely painful; the correction of these ailments by means of minimally invasive surgery avoids the risk of complications and accelerates the patient's recovery process.  

The orthopaedics and trauma studies service of Ciego de Ávila constitute the vanguard in the application of modern surgical methods with excellent results.
