Chair of the Historical Complex, Doctor Wally Serote, said that the figure of Che will be
placed in the Leaders' Gallery reserved to those 24 figures, including Amilcar Cabral, Julius Nyerere, Oliver Tambo, Steve Biko and Toussaint Louverture, which will be inaugurated this year.
The legendary guerrilla is among those who have contributed to independence in Africa and to put an end to apartheid, said designers of the Park.
The Freedom Park was officially inaugurated in December 2006, with a site called the Wall of Memory, with the names of Cubans fallen in internationalist heroic deeds in Africa.
