 Cuban literature to be inserted in the net of networks
The Exchange was part of the huge program developed in this city, a hundred kilometres to the east of the Havana for the 18th International Book Festival that started here last February 26 and which sees on Sunday its final day.

Abel González, in charge of the digital publication of Matanzas Mar Desnudo, on the refered theme declared that on the first place it is important to make substantial conceptual proposals and above everything else to sustain them.

Karel Bofill, member of the producing team of the on line version of the Revista Matanzas pointed out that main things is to achieve design with aesthetic functional and positive results.

“We should take more advantage of the resources and the language of this sort of media,” he pointed out.

The greatest cultural event in the island went beyond the central spaces of this three hundred years old city and it took proposals to organizations, teaching and work centres and communities.

Among these activities stood out those undertaken in the seat of the Vigía Editorial House under the title la Ronda de los Barquitos (The round of the small ships) destined to the youngest people in the house, where the children enjoyed diverse artistic manifestations.

Also in the Camilo Cienfuegos University there were readings of narration and poetry, this one in charge of the National Literature Award César López.

Information from the organizing committee point out the selling of the close to 87 thousand copies of about 320 titles, while the most demanded titles are children’s book, La paz en Colombia (Peace in Colombia), Así es Fidel (So is Fidel), Guía de Béisbol 2009 (2009 Baseball Guide) and the two volumes of the Spanish dictionary.
