Aiming at this, the Avilanian venture will install other advanced-technology equipment, while keeping on enlarging its productive capacity to increase the production of diverse products.

It is also expected that the investments will allow the increase of the number of brooms produced by the enterprise to five million. At the same time, the number of dental brushes should surmount eight million units.

In spite of the fact that this enterprise, the only one of its kind in the country, increased its production, it could save 131 megawatts in the last 12 months, starting from the identification of the heavily consuming machines and the reorganization of the productive flow.

Founded in February, 1963 by Commander Ernesto Che Guevara, the Juan Antonio Márquez Enterprise implemented a system of managerial improvement and pursues the recovery of plastic resins that used to be discarded, by means of technological innovations diminishing imports.
