Painting, printmaking, sculpture, drawing, photography and installation are among the techniques included in the exhibition which aims to promote the work of local artists, as explained in the opening Danilo Lopez, curator of the exhibition.

Artists Lauro Hechavarría, Jorge Hidalgo and Salvador Pavón, are among the noted figures that approached the religious theme in the works exhibited.

”The exhibition represents the mosaic of Cuban spirituality from our Aboriginal to Catholicism, Protestantism, Spiritualism, Santeria, Haitian voodoo, the Palo Monte and Islamism”, said Lopez.

”The Hall of Religious Art is not moved by prize winning, it is the meeting of different ways of assuming art and religion from different religious perspectives”, Lopez concluded.
