According to statistics, 12,700 patients were treated at special centers in local polyclinics.

The initiative is aimed at providing integrated medical care to diabetic patients and testing local residents for diabetes.

The province has 24 such centers to provide medical care twice a week.

Prevention, detection, treatment of complication of diabetes mellitus and the education of patients are among the centers' priorities.
