Direct Flights between Cuba and Peru

The airline TACA will begin flying directly between Lima (Peru) and Havana (Cuba) in the first trimester of 2009.

TACA will fly three times a week on the Lima-Havana route to meet the growing demand from travelers.

At present, TACA flies between the two cities via San José, Costa Rica. The route was inaugurated in April 2007 with three flights a week, but the company is now currently flying daily on that route.

Executives at TACA's Havana office pointed out that South America will benefit from direct flights between Lima and Havana, as travelers will arrive in Cuba at an appropriate time, according to their needs.

All passengers from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay, as well as Peru, will enjoy the advantages of that route, which will also contribute to boosting tourism in the region.
