This cultural facility, inaugurated 15 years ago will be the main see of the coming fair, to open next February 12th in Havana city, and will move to several cities of the country with a great offer of children and historical books related to the 50th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution.

During the literary event the theater will also host several performances for children which will include magicians, clowns, theater groups as well as knowledge contests and the launching of books for them.

Also a Multimedia Room will work with a large activities program which includes the promotion of alternative works for the education system in the region and others devoted to the half century of Revolution, along other offers.

The Cuba 2009 XVIII Internacional Book Fair will be dedicated to Fina García-Marruz, Literatura National Prize, Jorge Ibarra, Social Sciences National Prize, and to Chile as guest country.
