Fernandez de Cossio mentioned the Japanese organization's repeated expressions in rejection of the US economic blockade against Cuba. He also noted the organization's work in favor of cultural exchanges between the two countries which have strengthened the friendship bonds between the two peoples.
RO-ON HIMEJI president thanked the Cuban diplomat for the recognition and reaffirmed his friendship with the Caribbean island and his organization's commitment to continue developing actions in support of the island.
During the ceremony, the Cuban ambassador received a donation from RO-ON HIMEJI as a contribution to repairing the damage caused by the hurricanes that recently hit the island.
The Cuban ambassador thanked the organization's leader for the gesture and authorities from other Japanese cities present at the ceremony for keeping solidarity bonds with Cuba.
