The Cuban people benefit from dental health programs that can be compared to those implemented in developed countries.

Experts in stomatology noted that Cuba ranks among the industrialized countries of the world regarding the reduction of dental caries and the number of filled teeth.
Regarding that indicator, the World Health Organization has established that people in the most developed countries have an average of three dental caries, and in that case, Cuba's average is 1.5.
In order to guarantee high-quality dental care, there are 11,000 dentists in Cuba, and 6,000 students are majoring in Stomatology throughout the country.
In addition, investments are being made to increase production of dental prostheses to make 230,000 such prostheses in 2008 and 350,000 a year.
