Cuban Civil Defense General Staff decided on Sunday to decree the recovery stage in Santa Cruz del Sur, Najasa and Guaimaro municipalities in eastern Camaguey province, hit by Hurricane Paloma yesterday.
Authorities in those territories must start assessing damages and works to return to normalcy, with emphasis on health and cleaning up measures. The rest of the territories in the country are going back to normalcy, guaranteeing a safely, orderly return of evacuees, a CCDGS note said.
