Experts from nine countries will participate in the Iberoamerican Seminar for Exchange and Update on Science Management and Technological Innovation (IBERGECYT) that begins on Wednesday in Havana.

The group of foreign delegates is mainly made up of university professors, specialists from research centers and businesspeople from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Spain, Venezuela, Mexico and Peru.
Members of the organizing committee told ACN that the opening lecture of the event, which will take place at the Habana Libre Hotel, will be delivered by the Cuban Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and the Environment, Lina Dominguez.
According to the program of the event, other lectures will be given by Luis Herrera, Director of the Center for Genetics Engineering and Biotechnology, where the Hepatitis B recombinant vaccine Heberbiovac HB, which is registered and commercialized in dozens of countries, was produced.
The IBERGECYT events began in Havana in 1996 aiming at updating the knowledge of Cuban and foreign professionals about scientific, technological and innovation activities.
