Ten Cuban television workers were awarded with National Television Prize 2008 in Havana, a ceremony held coinciding with the celebration of the 58th anniversary of Cuban Television, AIN (National News Agency) reports Friday.

The celebration took place at Jose Marti Memorial, where the day of October 24, 1950 was recalled, when Cuba enjoyed for the first time television signal reception.
The Prize was granted to Orchestra Director of Cuban Radio and Television Institute (ICRT) Miguel Patterson, journalist Eduardo Dimas and program coordinator Carlos Reyes from the hands of authorities of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and ICRT.
Actors Asseneth Rodriguez and Raul Eguren, children programs director Iraida Malberti, announcer Edel Morales, stylish dresser Elba Vives, set designer Guillermo Duyou, and TV Director Eduardo Moya were also granted with the Prize.
