Cuban and Nigerian chancelleries signed a cooperation agreement in Abuja, as part of the 5th Intergovernmental Bilateral Commission for Economic Collaboration and Foreign Investment Session between the two nations.

The accord deals, among other aspects, with the celebration of consultation meetings about common interest topics, information and experiences exchange and to support mutually profitable economic relations based on equality. The document was signed by Ramon Ripolli, Cuban Economic, Scientific and Technical Collaboration First deputy Minister, and by Tijjani Kaura, Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister.
This accord signing took place as part of the Cuban deputy Minister’s visit to the African nation. Ripolli met with the health authorities of the African giant, the most inhabited in the continent, and with a great necessity of improving the health levels of its people. Cuba will help in different areas, and it is possible that it will supply vaccines to fight malaria, among other diseases.
