2nd China Latin America Business Summit that opened in the city of Harbin
The delegation is led by Raul Becerra, Cuba's Chamber of Commerce chairman. Cuban ambassador to China, Carlos Miguel Pereira, and representatives from several Cuban companies are also part of the delegation.

Patricia Ponce, director of the International Relations Department at the Chamber of Commerce, carried out today a presentation on the island's economy, perspectives and ties of cooperation existing between Cuban and Chinese companies.

Representatives of companies from the Ministries for Informatics and Communication, and Tourism, the Scientific Resort, and the CIMEX attend the summit.

Executives from some 600 Latin American and Chinese companies take part in this meeting, sponsored by China's Council for the Promotion of International and Trade, and the governments.

Also on the list were the presentations on MERCOSUR, the Andean Community, Mexico, Chile and Costa Rica.

The summit was opened today by National Peoples' Assembly vice president Zhou Tienong, who exhorted Latin American countries to undertake more businesses with China.

The parliamentary leader highlighted that Latin America has turned into one of the main destinations for Chinese investments.
