Cuba Explains Blockade Damages at John Hopkins University
In his presentation titled "The other truth," Bolaños gave concrete examples of human and material losses suffered by Cuba beginning in early 1959; just months after the Cuban revolution toppled the Batista dictatorship.

The diplomat noted that there hasn´t been an issue on the UN agenda where the United States has been so isolated and repudiated than the case of the blockade against Cuba.

Bolaños ended his statements by calling the US policy reiterative and a product of a state of criminal madness, which has never achieved its objectives.

Students and professors attended the conference, chaired by Wayne Smith, former head of the US Interests Section in Cuba and Rioddan Roett, professor and director of studies on the western hemisphere.
