The head of the Foreign Relations Department at the Central Committee of Cuba’s Communist Party (PCC), Fernando Remirez de Estenoz, met on Thursday with Aiuba Cureneia, member of the Political Bureau of the Party of the Liberation Front of Mozambique (PLFM).

According to Granma news daily, Cureneia, who is also Minister of Planning and Development of Mozambique, is on a working visit to Cuba.
During their meeting, Remirez de Estenoz thanked the visitor for the solidarity of President Armando Guiebuza and the PLFM with the Cuban people and government after the devastation caused in the Caribbean nation by hurricanes Gustav and Ike.
In addition, the PCC official gave the visitor details about the ongoing recovery efforts in the most affected territories of the country.
Both leaders also analyzed topics of common interest and spoke of the current international financial crisis and the situation in Africa and Latin America.
At the end of the meeting, a bilateral agreement between both parties was signed.
