Cuba defended in the world
The call for solidarity with the Cuban people continues to spread geographically and has become more powerful in its demand that the U.S. government end its criminal blockade of Cuba instead of offering conditional "aid.
" This is confirmed by the many people who have added their voices to this demand in the last few hours: from Paris, the well-known writer and journalist Ignacio Ramonet; from Rio de Janeiro, award-winning filmmaker Walter Salles; and from Santiago de Chile, jurist Juan Guzmán Tapia, who ordered the arrest and trial of Pinochet; and, from Athens, Mikis Theodorakis, one of the most celebrated contemporary composers.
